Sharing Our Passion for Floral Design

Since 1978, the Floral Art Society of St. Albert has been fostering awareness and appreciation of flower arranging as a medium of artistic expression and the personal growth that accompanies those pursuits. Our community programs and club activities are designed to be a catalyst which helps encourage community engagement in the arts, specifically floral design. Our society strives to participate in many community events and celebrations of the City of St. Albert, offering both our support and expertise.

AT A GLANCE

Our members gather to enjoy at least 10 design nights per year in a small group setting that embraces our continuous learning philosophy and provides opportunities to bloom further at industry-related functions.

Membership is limited, with potential openings available annually.

In addition, we currently offer two levels of instruction: The Basics (an 6-week introductory course) and Beyond the Basics (a 6-week intermediate course), as well as a festive full-day Christmas workshop, a Wreath Workshop and a Vase Design class.

ACTIVITIES

Floral Art Society of St. Albert is achieving more with our initiatives than ever before. We work on many exciting projects to help enrich our club, our community, and the City of St. Albert.

EDUCATION

With this initiative, our goal is to promote great opportunities for members of our community to pursue interests in floral design. Our society currently offers courses which teach the techniques required to design with florals. We are also exploring options to expand our community engagement through non-traditional educational offerings.

MEMBER DEVELOPMENT

With our organization’s mission always in mind, we strive to find new ways to push our talents for design and continue to learn and refine new and evolving design applications.

SUPPORT

At the Floral Art Society of St. Albert, we are dedicated to providing support where our community programming provides opportunity. Support is by no means an easy feat, but through cooperation and community empowerment we believe we can facilitate promotion of the art of floral design and our society. Past support has included providing flowers for events held by the City of St. Albert and providing installations for local, public art galleries.
